A supplier-described etched slice of Gibeon iron meteorite, recovered in Namibia and presented with its distinctive Widmanstätten pattern—an interlocking crystalline structure revealed on the prepared metallic surface.
This approximately 13g specimen is intended for collectors of meteorites, planetary materials, and natural history. The supplier lists the approximate dimensions as 1¼" × 1½" × 3mm; final measurements and in-hand photography will be confirmed and added when stock arrives.
Gibeon is an official meteorite name in the Meteoritical Bulletin Database and is classified as an iron meteorite, IVA. Because the stock has not yet arrived, the locality, weight, dimensions, and classification are presented as supplier information pending receipt and inspection.
