Deep Time Atelier • Ring Sizing Guide
Find the fit that feels meant to be
A ring should sit securely, pass over the knuckle with gentle resistance, and remain comfortable through the day. Use this guide before choosing your piece.

The most reliable at-home method
Your Deep Time Atelier sizer is the reusable plastic wrap-around style that works like a small belt.
- Form the loop. Feed the pointed end through the buckle opening.
- Place it at the base of your finger. Pull it until it sits close to the skin without pinching.
- Check the knuckle. The loop should slide over the widest part of your knuckle with light resistance.
- Read the mark. Note the size shown at the buckle or indicator line.
- Repeat three times. Measure later in the day as well; fingers naturally change with temperature and activity.

Place the reusable gauge around the base of your finger, keep it snug but comfortable, and read the US size shown at the arrow.
Measure a ring you own
Choose a ring that fits the intended finger. Measure the widest distance across the inside of the band in millimetres, then match that inner diameter to the chart below.
Paper-strip method
Wrap a narrow strip of non-stretch paper around the base of the finger, mark the overlap, lay it flat, and measure the length in millimetres. That number is the finger circumference.
Professional confirmation
For a wide band, a prominent setting, or a finger with a larger knuckle, a local jeweller can confirm the fit with metal gauges before you order.
Before you settle on a size
- Measure when your hands are comfortably warm—not immediately after exercise, a hot shower, or time in the cold.
- Measure the exact finger and hand on which the ring will be worn; dominant and non-dominant hands can differ.
- If you sit between two sizes, choose the larger size unless the ring design requires otherwise.
- Wider bands generally feel firmer. A band wider than about 3 mm may be more comfortable half a size larger.
- Do not compare a screen image to a real ring; screens do not display physical millimetres consistently.
AU/UK, US whole-and-half sizes, and EU / metric conversion
Use inner diameter for an existing ring or circumference for a paper-strip measurement. European (EU) ring sizing generally follows the inside circumference in millimetres, so the final column also gives the approximate EU size. These values are a practical conversion guide; manufacturing tolerances and band profiles can affect the final fit.
