What is a crystal generator?

A crystal generator is a polished form with a flat base and sides that rise to a point. It is also commonly called a tower, point or obelisk. In crystal traditions, the pointed form is used as a focal object for meditation, intention-setting and crystal grids. Some practitioners place it at the centre of a grid or point it upward to symbolically focus and direct energy through a space.

Ruby is traditionally associated with courage, vitality and passion, while kyanite is linked with clarity, communication and balance—together symbolising strength guided by clear intention. Ruby is the red variety of corundum, coloured by chromium; kyanite is an aluminium silicate associated with metamorphic rock. Chromium in ruby can produce fluorescence under ultraviolet light. In crystal traditions, ruby is associated with vitality and kyanite with clarity—symbolic meanings, not established medical effects.
