Story
A distinctive rough specimen of fuchsite-bearing quartzite, commonly sold in the lapidary and mineral trade as green aventurine quartz. Pale quartz and grey-green rock are densely threaded with reflective green mica-rich inclusions, while warm brown mineral weathering adds contrast along one side of the piece.
The green inclusions are visually consistent with fuchsite, a chromium-bearing green mica, but the mineral identification and locality have not been laboratory verified. This is the exact one-of-a-kind natural geological specimen pictured.
