Story

A genuine mosasaur tooth fossil with a strong curved profile, deep caramel-brown enamel and retained pale mineral matrix at the base.

Mosasaurs were large marine squamates—not dinosaurs—that inhabited Late Cretaceous seas. Isolated teeth are difficult to assign confidently to a precise genus or species, so this specimen is described conservatively as Mosasauridae. No locality documentation accompanies the specimen; a North African origin is visually consistent with commonly traded phosphate-deposit material but is not independently verified.
