A beautifully preserved tooth from one of the great marine predators of deep time.
This genuine mosasaur tooth has a strong conical profile, warm caramel-brown enamel and fine longitudinal surface texture. Pale mineral matrix remains at the broad base, creating a striking contrast with the darker crown. Its compact scale makes it an elegant cabinet specimen with an unmistakably predatory form.
Mosasaurs were large marine squamates—not dinosaurs—that inhabited Late Cretaceous seas. Isolated teeth are difficult to assign to a precise genus or species, and this specimen is therefore described conservatively as Mosasauridae. No locality documentation accompanies the specimen; North African origin is visually consistent with common phosphate-deposit material but is not independently verified.
