Story
This ring is the first piece in my new Aerial Strata series, inspired by aerial views of salt lakes where mineral rich waters form natural pools of colour across ancient landscapes.

Verdant Afterglow features genuine green Bello opal arranged in organic circular forms across an 8 mm titanium band. The pattern mirrors the shapes seen when salt lakes are photographed from above.

At the base of the inlay sits a layer of green strontium aluminate, which charges naturally from daylight or quickly with a UV light and produces a soft luminous afterglow in low light.

The glow effect is intentionally subtle. Long exposure photography exaggerates the brightness so the effect can be seen clearly in photographs.
