Deep Time Atelier

Our Story

← Back to home

Deep Time Atelier is a Perth, Western Australian atelier bringing together handmade jewellery, fossils, minerals and extraordinary materials shaped across geological and cosmic time.

We are drawn to objects that carry a sense of history: the colour held within opal, the structure of a mineral, the pattern preserved in dinosaur gem bone, and the character of meteorite and other ancient materials. Each one tells a story much older than our own.

Objects shaped by deep time

Our jewellery is approached as wearable art. Rings, necklaces and pendants are made in small numbers, combining contemporary design with carefully selected inlay materials. Variations in colour, texture and pattern are part of their character, ensuring every finished piece has an identity of its own.

Alongside the jewellery, Deep Time Atelier presents fossils, minerals, gemstones and natural-history specimens chosen for their form, geological interest and documented character. Wherever details are known, our listings clearly describe the material, dimensions, origin and exact-item information. We do not fill gaps in provenance or scientific identification with assumptions.

Made by hand in Western Australia

The atelier is guided by patience, precision and respect for materials. Every handmade piece is shaped, assembled and finished with close attention to the small details that make it personal. Natural materials are allowed to remain distinctive rather than being made artificially uniform.

A meeting of ancient Earth and contemporary craft

Deep Time Atelier exists at the meeting point of art, natural history and curiosity. Whether an object is worn, displayed or collected, our hope is that it offers a tangible connection to the immense processes that formed our planet—and to the distant worlds beyond it.
